Another week, another classic car in desperate need of saving. – Thank goodness Tim and Fuzz always come to the rescue!
This week on Car SOS, a VW Beetle Wizard enters the workshop. The VW Wizard was born in 1983 when small ads in the back of Hot Rod magazines started offering off the shelf kit parts. With a VW Wizard, very little of the ‘VW’ was in fact involved; the lower half of an original body shell, the doors and some ancillary parts – after that the choice of engine, drive train and finish was up to the buyer.See how this VW Beetle Wizard turns out in brand new Car S.O.S, this Thursday at 8pm on National Geographic UK.
Volksworld readers will recognise many of the traders and names behind this story… oh, and be sure to keep an eye out for our very own TV star and Volksworld-legend, Keith Seume, too!
Here’s a short clip from the Car SOS team re: the history of the Wizard…
NB: If you miss the first airing (8pm on Thursday 1st April), be sure to check it out on catchup TV!
